Both 1600 and 4x800 relay records fall at Prospect

A select few boys traveled to Prospect High School for the ultra-competitive Wanner Knights Invitational.   The all-sophomore 4x800 meter relay got the momentum going with a blazing school record 8:06.20.  The team (Kyle Maloney, Markiyan Protsiv, Will Sarchet and Ben Boswell) all turned in PR performances to hang with a very competitive varsity field.   Jamison Dale bested his own school record taking second place in a very fast 4:14.80, over a second better than his 2012 IHSA State Meet record mark.   Luke O'Connor did most of the pacing work in a 3200 where nobody wanted to lead but still closed in a 65 second last lap to get 3rd in quality 3200m field.
