Alumnus Luke O'Connor to represent Tufts Jumbos in Men's NCAA DIII National Championship

On Saturday recent alumnus Luke O'Connor will run in the NCAA Division III National Championship meet in Hanover, Indiana with his Tufts Jumbos teammates.  Tufts received an At-Large invite based on their 4th place finish in their Regional Meet. They head into the meet ranked 16th in the nation in the latest USTFCCA Coaches poll.  As a freshman O'Connor has been an integral part of the Tufts squad, running a personal best of 25:42 for 8k.

In high school O'Connor was a 2x All-State Runner and a major contributor the the State Championship Winning 2012 Team.  He is currently 2nd all time in 3 mile, 1600m and 3200m runs. 

His fellow alumni Jamison Dale and Kirby Lawson will start their breaks after strong freshmen campaigns for Loyola University and Butler University respectively.  Jamison finished the season strong as the 3rd man for Loyola at both their conference and regional championships, running 25:23 for 8k and 32:30 for 10k.  Lawson was the sole freshman on a highly ranked Butler Bulldogs team and ran a fine 26:34 on a tough Wisconsin Parkside course at the Big East Championships.
